Volunteer With Us
It is because of the commitment made by community volunteers that The Civic Theatre is now open and screening films!

The Nelson Civic Theatre Society was founded by volunteers to revive The Civic, and volunteers still shape our day-to-day operations, patron services, governance, marketing, and fundraising. Last year more than 180 volunteers gave around 5,000 hours of their time. It is a wonderful way to meet people, learn new skills, and support your independent cinema.
Most roles are on site and call for excellent people and communication skills. Special projects come up from time to time for volunteers with specialized skills who work well independently.
